Each design is the result of a thoughtful process, blending traditional techniques with a modern aesthetic. By focusing on longevity and timeless style, every piece is intended to be worn, loved, and passed down. I invite you to embrace the slow, intentional beauty of handmade knitwear.

In today's world, ecological awareness and ethical sourcing should always be top of mind. Many knitters are understandably wary about utilising certain fibres due to concerns surrounding animal welfare and global working conditions.
Because I do not possess exhaustive technical knowledge on international manufacturing regulations, my conscious choice is to rely on well-established, globally recognised yarn brands. These heritage companies have the scale and infrastructure required to ensure their working methods and sourcing channels are strictly regulated, certified, and controlled. By choosing these premium materials, we can knit with both confidence and peace of mind.

I often get asked: "Is this yarn itchy?" It is a question I take very seriously. In selecting yarns I prioritise natural fibres and avoid synthetic materials, which can often be the cause of irritation and discomfort.
Instead, I favour natural, high-quality fibres that allow the skin to breathe. Focusing on materials that are gentle and soft and feel luxurious against the skin, ensures that every piece is a pleasure to wear. Texture and durability are paramount to equally importantly ensure that every garment maintains its shape and beauty over time. True luxury never compromises on comfort.
However, looking at yarn labels can sometimes be confusing when it comes to "synthetic" components. There is a vast difference in how these fibres are actually used.
Cheap Synthetics (like Polyester or Acrylic): These are often used as cheap fillers. They tend to trap heat, don't breathe well, and can make a luxury fibre feel stiff or artificial over time.
Structural Synthetics (like Polyamide or Nylon): In contrast, when you see a small percentage of high-quality polyamide or nylon in a premium yarn, it is actually there with a structural purpose. Fine premium fibres—especially delicate longhair mohairs—need a microscopic, incredibly strong "core" to hold the fluffy fibres together and prevent shedding. In these cases, it doesn't cheapen the yarn; it adds essential strength, durability, and a wonderful softness so your garment keeps its shape for years to come.

A hand-knitted garment is a living piece of art.
With the right care, the mohair and wool will only grow softer and more storied with time.
Refreshing & Reviving
Often, a simple airing outdoors is all a natural fibre needs to regain its shape and scent.
Alternatively, to quickly refresh your knit and lift the pile, place the garment in a dryer for only two to three minutes on a very low or dedicated ‘Wool’ setting. This gently removes odours and raises the fibres beautifully to restore that signature "halo" look while getting rid of any loose hairs.

Fine Mohair & Silk Care
For designs worked in this yarn, when a deeper clean is required, a gentle hand-wash in lukewarm water with a pH-neutral wool silk detergent is essential.
Do not agitate. Rinse thoroughly and gently squeeze out excess water by carefully rolling in a towel. Machine washing and full drying cycles are strictly out of the question.

Efficient Drying Method
For hand-washed items, I recommend laying them flat on Polystyrene (Isomo) panels rather than a towel. The structure of these panels allows for better air circulation, ensuring a much quicker and safer drying process. Keep knit items away from direct sunlight or heat sources when drying.
The Longhair Mohair Care
Due to the significant loft and volume of the luxurious Longhair Mohair yarn these pieces should not be washed at home. The weight of the water can compromise the shape of the garment. Professional dry cleaning only for these specific designs!
Grooming
To maintain the dramatic effect of the Longhair fibres, occasionally shake the garment or gently lift the pile with a soft-bristled brush. Simple gestures to restore the signature "halo" and keep the piece looking brand new.
Storage
To prevent stretching the shape, never hang your knits. Store them folded in a cool, dry place.
