Every garment is finished with a hand-printed cotton label, sewn by hand into the knit. This remains the final touch in a process deeply rooted in my heritage.
I am proud to hail from bonnie Scotland— of a place and a generation where knitting was a natural skill to develop and I was lucky to have my skilled great-aunts on hand to coach me in the art.
My commitment to 'slow' fashion came long before the hype. My refusal to compromise on yarn quality ensures that each piece I craft has durability and becomes a treasured wardrobe staple.
My love for sculpting designs and exploring the interplay of textures grew from a lifelong fascination with the architecture of fashion. Over the last decade, this foundation evolved and led to a deeper study of architectural silhouettes—an aesthetic inspired by the timeless, sharp elegance of the film noir legend Lauren Bacall, from whom the brand takes its name.
